Welcome to Trayer Engineering Corporation, located in San Francisco, California. This company was founded by Frank Trayer in 1962 and has been a pioneer in the design and manufacture of maintenance-free switchgear for electrical distribution systems. |

Trayer Engineering has focused on underground distribution systems for over 30 years. Our original submersible switches are still installed, ruggedly performing in the field with no apparent mode of failure, proof-positive of Trayer's design expertise. Trayer Submersible, Padmount, Polemount and our unique Padmersible Switchgear are state of the art and SCADA ready. In addition, Trayer has the ability to custom design this switchgear to your specification. Trayer can produce switches that replicate the tank size and bushing layout of your existing switches, resulting in economical switch replacement with no cable splicing. |

Trayer innovations include the introduction of the world's first Submersible Vacuum Switch, the first Vacuum Fault Interrupter for underground systems, the first Three-Phase Visible Disconnect for Vacuum Switches and the first 25 kV Air Insulated Drywell Fuse Holder rated for 100 amp full range current-limiting fuse.
